Welcome tsatsantsa!

You did not post much information - a copy of the scammer's email would help a lot.

But the fact that he says he sent you a valuable parcel is enough proof - it is a criminal.

There is no parcel. But soon you will get an email or a phone call asking for money: Customs, a transport fee - anything that will make you pay. Please don't!

Block the scammer from your email account and chat room, don't accept his phone call. As long as you talk to him he will tell you lies. Just drop him like a hot potato.

Best wishes - and please ask again if you have a question.

I need help. I have been scammed by a man i met online dating. He said he was from US. His name is Scott Peters supposedly and from MA. He said he was in Afghanistan but is really in Ghana. He sent me flowers. And know he is I believe using me as a "mule" to forward PC's he sent me today. My mom signed for them not knowing that I was not going to accept this shipment. I believe I could be in deep trouble. His email address: [email protected] which i have blocked but has sent me text messages using an id 924-665-01. I have tried to track down who this person is but have not been able to. What should i do? How do I report this?

Good news, scammed53,

you are not in trouble at all if you do the following:

Just go to your local police tomorrow, show them the printed email correspondence and tell them all you know.

Have a look at the parcels: Who sent them? Call the store or company and tell them that you have been scammed, that you suspect the parcels have been paid for with stolen credit card details, and that you want to return them.

Then you should be fine.

The scammer will not be happy :D so don't read his mails, enter him into your spam filter, block him on chat, and don't accept his phone calls. You have had enough trouble and don't need to be threatened by a scammer.

Of course, he can't do you any physical harm - he won't leave his internet café in Ghana.

Thank you so much for the email that you posted re Scott Peter.I also met this guy Scott Peters on a dating site. Somethings did not add up and I googled the name this morining and stumbled across your email. He also told me that he is from MA and a retired flight engineer and now working in Afghan in the Millitary HR.
He is a widower with a son that's studing in Ghana. My bigest fear is that I have send him pictures of myself and one of my son.I also gave him my contact numbers in South Africa. The mobile number he gave me is 00233274434349.
Please help !! what do I do if he uses our pictures in defruading other people.
Once again my sincere thanks.

I wouldn't worry too much about the photos. The truth is, he could go to facebook, photobucket, or hundreds of other sites, and there are readily available photos of millions of people and families that are unprotected. He has no reason to use the few photos you sent to him.

Also, if he is romance scamming as a female, he will generally use photos of a model that has swimsuit or lingerie photos available, or he will use a porn actress.
