To sum it up, I'd proceed with caution. Sorry to be not more decisive.

It would be good to find out what ther terms of payment are and what your duties will be. If anything involves you receiving cheques and depositing them into your account or an account you start, it is a scam.

If you have to pay them anything to start working it is a scam.

If you have to do anything through Western Union, MoneyGram or any other money transfer service, it is a scam.

I agree with Katherina when she said "I would proceed with caution."

I would also be vary cautious if they want you to download or install anything on your computer.

I'm sorry to say the suspicions that brought you to this site are true. This person is a scammer.

The number you posted is a Nigerian cell phone which is where most of these scammers are from. Please stop all communications with this scammer. Just delete his emails. He will finally give up after being ignored and go away.
