The weird thing is that I have used them for over the last few months and they have been very very reliable and I have many completed large transactions with them and they usually exchange vouchers within minutes. However I have been waiting for a small value exchange for over a week now with no response. They won't answer e-mails or IM's. Maybe the admin has changed hands or maybe that's how they scam people building up their trust for a period of time and then ripping them off. They recently kept running out of LR stock and there was sometimes a delay with my exchange but I am not sure what's up with them. moneystream.ru/ is legit but they offer a much lower exchange rate

I have been ripped off this same site for £80 to exchange into my LR account. Is there nothing we all can do as this is really upsetting for me and I can't believe they are actually doing this unpurpose. I have always used them and never had this problem until last week.

There must be something we can do to stop this and either get a refund back and also help others not getting ripped. I had to search for their website and put scam beside it to see what comes up and I found this forum so this is telling me they might be more people out there who doesn't know about this site and still given them free money.

This is very smart of them no sort of contact details, no phone numbers, their live support is really crap and they dont even care .

I am really upset and I wont give up on this until i get to the buttom of this.

Welcome donedge!
I'm so sorry you have lost money.
It seems strange that a company which until recently did a good job all of a sudden went corrupt. I'm wondering if there could be a fake website impersonating the real one. Did you check if the internet address is really identical, or is there just a tiny difference in the spelling?
by debra_deen101 Tue Aug 02, 2011 3:58 pm
I have also used them before, i think they have just decided to scam us all, as they have succeeded in gaining our trust. meanwhile, nothing changed about the URL spelling.

we need to spread this, to inform others before they do more than they have done.
I have checked with money stream, they all have got something in common, same feature when i check on whois.
Please, i am not a guru, but if anyone better than me could spare some time, check what they have got in common (through whois or some other link) claiming to be a good sellers.

Please save us from people like this, as i am trying to get on as i was badly hit by the recession

The interesting bit is "Registrant not disclosed", that means the owner of the website chose to stay anonymous. They don't even tell when it was registered.
I went to the site of the registrar where Ukashexchange.eu rented the site (http://www.eurid.eu), but they don't show any more information.

On the "contact" page of Ukashexchange.eu they give an email address:
[email protected]
which is hilarious: a free email address for a company with its own website?

To make the whole thing even more puzzling: There is a website called "Ukashexchange.com", registered in Russia, whereas "Ukashexchange.eu" is hosted in Turkey.

I think it's time for me to call in our fake website specialist, Michael, to get his help.
by Michael Tue Aug 02, 2011 7:29 pm
^ The website was registered for a year, since Feb 2011. Very new. As far as I can tell they are not run by UKash themselves. I contacted Ukash to find out whether they ever heard from it.

I don't like this site one bit. Recent registration, no SSL protection when providing the codes... It just doesn't look and feel professional.

I'll do some more research tomorrow when I hear back from Ukash. Until further notice, stay away from the site.

In order to find out which websites/merchants accept Ukash as a payment method, please visit our website http://www.ukash.com, select your country and click on WHERE TO SPEND. There you can find a list of all merchants currently accepting Ukash.

Please note that you can not find on our homepage the merchant http://www.ukashexchange.eu on the list with authorised merchants.

Please also refer to the Ukash Terms and Conditions where a Ukash merchant is defined more clearly:

1.4 A Participating Merchant is a business or other organisation that has a contract with Ukash and that has integrated the Ukash payment system into its payment processing system and operates under the Ukash scheme rules

5.1 You may use the Ukash payments system to make payments to Participating Merchants. You will not pay any charges to Ukash for making such a payment. Participating Merchants are listed on the Ukash website http://www.ukash.com and you should satisfy yourself that a merchant is a Participating Merchant before submitting the Ukash voucher code to a merchant as payment. Ukash is not liable for any loss under any circumstances resulting from the presentation of voucher codes to anyone that is not a Participating Merchant.

In other words, if they aren't listed on the site it is completely on your own risk. It doesn't looks like there is a way to reclaim your money from Ukash.

Basically, using ukashexchange is sending money to a regular guy in a different country and counting on his honesty that he will pay everything back. Over the years I've become too cynical to believe this is going to end well..

Hello im new here i was looking for a website who i can find informations about scam.

This Your site is very good.

I got scammed from this very site http://www.ukashexchange.eu Since few months i´m using this exchanger with a huge of money. And i never had anything bad or negative. So last Friday i did a exchange from 450 Euro to LR USD. I put my vouchers like i did it every time. I received my email : Hello we have received your Voucher and the took it to our System for now we are Low on LR SToch but during the day we send you your money.

Till today i dont hear from then again. Live Support is online on the website but no respond to at least 30 times contacting them, Messenger Contacts are offline.

Now i went to the website again and i found this :

http://www.ukashexchange.eu (Anti-Money Laundering Policy) is observing the rules of law and regulations on the prevention of laundering proceeds of criminal law 5549 / 11/10/2006, the global standards of money laundering and terrorist financing risks are determined.
Due to this reasons, the http://www.ukashexchange.eu has the right to request identity information of customers when necessary.

Then i received an email with a link to this very website : http://www.ukashtolr.com. Please beware of this site. I was talking to them on Yahoo Chat and it looks like this are the same people as ukashexchange.eu
