This is a classic recovery scam. I'm afraid your money is gone and there is no way of getting it back. This person is probably the same one who scammed you in the first place.

Scamwarners guide and advice on money recovery scams;

How the money recovery scam works

Money recovery scams are particularly vicious since they target people who have already lost money to an internet scammer. The scammer, or one of his fellow criminals, will contact the victim pretending to be able to recover the money that the victim sent. Often, the scammer will claim to be an official government department or agency, like the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in Nigeria. The scammer will ask for details of the original scam, and will then assure the victim that the money can be recovered for a fee. If the fee is paid, there will be demands for more, and so on, until the victim realises they have been conned again, or runs out of money. Scammers have also pretended to be Scampatrol.org which is a well-respected victim protection site, in order to try to run this scam.

Never send money by Western Union/Moneygram.
Never give personal information.
Online anyone can claim to be anyone, any age and from anywhere.

Hi Steve,
Iam fine just dealing day by Day.I always wonder if they will allow me to
go home to my family or is this the day I never see them again. This is Mike
Aaron Johnson threat to me.
Steve,and
I found your email under Lagos Nigeria scams. they play real dirty too,
I thought my emails were being blocked because, I have written to
Hannity/and Glenn Beck on channel 4 and they haven't responded. I read your
articles regarding scams like this. He acts like he so interested in you and
begins asking for money Lap tops ipods. He hit up with somebody who doesn't
have money and is very much depended on her family.
Dan Noyes said it not their style to follow...He said I am dealing with
somebody else.
Will they stop or will he keep his promise, I really am being followed
by guys; They get on the bus, follow me every where, they know where I work,I
won't ever admitt it to them but Iam afraid. I was hurt by men.I never asked
for it I am a practice Catholic I wanted to be a nun. I was raised in a
tradtional Italian home.
Here is what made me know about Mike being a scam artiest:Please read
see what you can do.
I met him on Catholic People meet.
God Bless you

Hi ,

I have been scammed by a man named Mike Aaron Johnson He said he was
37yrs. old He was spainish and Brittish and a christian. We talked for nine
mos we were going to be married.. He knew every thing, my fears every thing
He is having me followed even today and said he'd take me from my Parents In
a letter my Parents read too. He said Mary had to go and my parents had to go .
Dad and Mom said It sounded Like a threat.
Our argument were always surrounded around Money. Sending him Lap tops
to Nigeria for the missions or he said he inhereted money from his Parents
Plane accident in Amster Dam,and had to put it my account or he'd lose it
and we needed for us to get married, or said he needed money to get him out
of Nigeria or a ipod for his daughter Mary Johnson He claimed he was a
widower. I almost sent this but I had him checked out He is wanted by the
police for deaf scams but i truly loved him I still have feeling for him.I
never ones saw this coming either. Naieve and flatter by the loving things
he said and so handsome..I feared rejection and the day I said I wrote a
letter to get him help and send it to The American Embassy I was told he
hated me he was being followed too and he was in danger He could n't keep me
in controll . Will they stop or will he keep his promise I really am being
followed by guys.

Please, tell me how you want us to help you, you can use my email address, it is posted bellow every post and I will try to help you as best I can.

The scams we are qualified to help you with are internet based scams where the scammers attempt to get money from you and I am more than happy to help you to understand any aspect of that you are not sure about

Just adding, everything you describe above except the following you bit is typical scammer behavior, these scammers have never to my knowledge been known to stalk anybody before.

My feeling is that if you are being stalked by anybody that it is unrelated to your experience with internet fraudsters.

I really dont know how to begin helping you with this but I can see than you desperately do need help, whether by police or perhaps some other organisation, but first, lets get your scam related questions out of the way so you can get help from the right people.

Right now i dont have time to go over all of this but if you can start by giving me the email address and the very first email you received from your scammer and we will take it from there.

I haven't read through your whole post yet, but I did search the email address he is using to talk to you. If you put "[email protected]" into google, you will get results from one website: a website warning about love scams on Match.com (Scamwarners will be on that list too, but it takes a few hours/days).

I will edit this with any further findings or info.

EDIT: I understand that you did not send him any money or goods and have not received, or cashed a cheque from him. Is that true?
It also reads that all you want are answers as to why he has done this to you. I particularly hate love scams for this very reason and it seems to me like the loss of any money would be seconded by the betrayal and heart ache.

If you did do the google search I mentioned, then you may have read the last two paragraphs in the relevant post. I think they are very well worded and truthful.

I am writing this to let everyone out there to be careful. These guys are pros and will use all of your weaknesses to get everything out of you. They learn your weaknesses by what you post on the Match.com web site. We have to be strong... [email protected] is not your friend...

Be Careful.....If they bring up money. They do not love you...They love your money....Hope my pain and suffering helps to prevent someone else from going through the same thing...

I am curious as to how you first started talking to this Steven Blair, could you explain that in any more detail?

Thanks again for posting this.

Ok, I know the next question, why am I showing you this?

The reason I am showing you is this 62.173.50.173 Nigeria (Ipaja)* It is a Nigerian and that email was definately sent from Nigeria

I can also show what he sent to me

Hello Murray ,

How are you doing today ? well i got your message and i felt i write you to tell you abit about myself ..so hope you like these few things about me ...

I am a sensitive, caring and open-minded and Christian man who spends his life helping others as i involve in my daily activities and very emotional. I am the owner of a successful and growing practice

I am interested in finding a woman who will be my best friend, companion, lover and soul-mate. I am looking for a relationship which will be stable and secure, characterized by intimacy and trust, and that will last for the rest of my life. At the same time, I want to move slowly with any one I may meet so that we have time to get to know each other and build a firm foundation for a relationship.

I have a great sense of humor and love to get engaged in interesting conversations. My hobbies and interests are many and varied. The following are some of my interests:

Music: I am most passionate about Classical Music, but also like Blues, Classic Rock, Folk, Jazz, and international music, such as Celtic Music and Russian Rock

Films: Action/Adventure, Comedy, Documentary, Drama, Foreign Films, Musical, Mystery, Romance, Suspense/Thriller, Westerns—for example, I am always ready to watch a comedy like Spaceballs, Young Frankenstein, Blazing Saddles, Airplane, a crime mystery like the recent film Fractured (with Anthony Hopkins), or an adventure film like The Lord of the Rings series

Outdoor Activities: I love nature. In order to lose weight, get in shape and be a healthy person I have built regular walking and exercise into my schedule. I also like photography (I have professional grade equipment and take professional quality shots), bicycling, camping, hiking, fishing, horseback riding, sailing, snorkeling; traveling (I have been to Europe several times, the Holy Land, Egypt and most of the United States, including Alaska, the Arizona Desert and Florida—which is likely my favorite place to vacation), target shooting and hunting

Indoor Activities: art, collecting antiques, computers, cooking, crafts like jewelry making (by soldering and casting precious metals and setting semiprecious and precious jewels) and leather work, museums, movies, concerts, opera, theater, politics (I am conservative), reading (non-fiction on religion, psychology and history, as well as historical novels and classic literature) and dining out

Favorite Foods: International of almost all forms, especially Chinese, Italian, Greek, Indian, etc.

If you are interested in speaking more with me please respond to my email. Thank you.

Sincerely

Steven Blair
