Hello,
I recently contacted a potential landlord about renting his apartment in Madrid; I found his ad through a Spanish website called "Yaencontre". He responded to my initial email saying that he was now working in the UK and wanted me to go through a third party rental group called "Seur Rentals" that would help arrange the viewing and hand over the keys. He says that I can view the apartment before making a payment. However, I can't find any info about Suer Rentals, except form their own website which is VERY basic. Also, I asked him several questions about the rental, and he responded to none of them, and only emphasized how he wanted to complete the deal quickly. He just gave off a less-than-kosher vibe, and I am especially wary of "Seur Rental". Thanks in advance for any help! :)

Hello
I have also contacted a potential landlord of a flat in Zaragoza (Spain). He is supposed to be a spanish guy who has just been transferred to the UK. He sent me the e-mails both in english and spanish and his spanish is not as good as it should be. He has suggested me to use Seur Rental (http://seur-rental.co.uk/). I have searched it on the Internet and the only thing I have found is this "scam suspect" question from last week.

I include the first e-mail he sent me:
"Thank you for your interest. My name is (...) and from the internet add, you could see, i have available the apartment located in: (...). It has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathrooms, 1 kitchen.
I am looking for someone to live in it, as soon as possible, because my company sent me (city in UK), UK. I am adviser on oil platform, so my accommodation period in Portsmouth will be about 4 - 10 years. The renting period is from 1 months up to 1-10 years. As a result of this I want to rent, for this period, at this price and also to find the perfect person for my apartment. I'm the owner of the apt and it's like in the pics.
The apartment is furnished, but I have the option of sending all my furniture into storage if you want to bring your own (no extra costs). The rent for 1 month is ... Euro (for the whole apartment) including all utilities (water, electricity, Internet, cable, parking, air conditioning, dishwasher, garbage disposal, microwave, refrigerator). You can move in the apt in the same day when you receive the keys. The only problem is that I`m the only person who has the keys but I hope that we will find a solution.

Thank you for your interest and I will look forward to hearing from you soon."

And the last one, talking about Seur Rental:
"Hello,
Thank you for your reply but the matter is that I'm in (city in UK) already. Like I have inform you before, the price you shall pay for one month of rent will be ... EUR + ... security deposit ( ... euro ), with no extra taxes to pay. I must have one month rent + security deposit from you. The money, I want to recive it monthly to my bank account, so I hope it will be no problem for you to wire the money to my bank account. The apartment is ready for you, you will need only to receive the keys and the contract to check it, and see if you like it. Obviously we need a way to complete this deal, that will allow us to make sure we receive what we are after. In order of that I have found a way for us to complete the deal safely and fast, and in this way you will receive the Keys in less than 2 days, if you move fast as well. The solution is provided by a company called Seur Rental which is a rental company that have offices in UK, France, Spain, Germany and more. They will handle both payment, delivery of the Keys and the contract for renting. I have found a procedure that will allow you to pay for the rent of the apartment only after you will receive the keys of it and through this way you will see it and decide if you will stay in the apartment or not before I receive my payment. Please click on the link bellow to the Seur Rental website to see how we can complete the deal safely and fast directly from the website of the company where the procedure is explained: "

Does this help you? Is it a scam? It sounds really strange to me.

Welcome to Scamwarners.
It's certainly a scam. The English is typical of a West African, and him having the keys and being on an oil rig is a common scam format.
The website looks bogus too. It was created on 28th September for the minimum 24 months. And the London address seems to belong to a Homeless charity.

Welcome to ScamWarners nane. Scammers do use very enticing looking pictures regardless of the scam. Early scams had pictures of trunk boxes filled with cash.

Again, too good to be true.
