Has someone offered you a huge sum of money or a valuable consignment? It's a 419 or advance fee fraud - find out how they work, and what to do to be safe.

It's me again!
A few minutes ago, I got this mail here:

Is this real or not? For me it looks very real and please look at the homepage too.
Hello Christian,

from your information on easyaupair.com, we have learned that you are interested in joining a homestay program.

If you are interested in going to China, we would be glad to introduce you to one of our families here in Kunming. Right now we have about 50 educated and interesting families waiting here in Kunming.

You would live together with them, take care of their children for some time and teach them some English. But most importantly you would introduce your culture to the Chinese host family.
Of course you will be living and eating for free with the family, besides that you will get pocket money and free Chinese language and culture classes.

Maybe you can check out our homepage first homestaychina.org, you can also contact me directly.

Hope to hear from you soon!

Best wishes,

Chris

^^^ I am not too sure about this, that is why I have removed the link and reported it for investigation.
The site may be real but it was only registered in June of this year yet they state that they have been running as a registered business for six years. :?

Right now I can't tell you with certainty whether it's a scam or not, but based on the first impression I wouldn't trust this site. As con said, they claim copyright since 2008 but the site is just a few months old. The forum for pictures is filled with spam. The facebook profile doesn't work (shut down?).

The testimonials are copied from other sites like this one: http://www.hhscenter.com/en/item.asp?ClassId=45

I have no conclusive evidence so far. I can tell you however that right now, I wouldn't touch it with a 10 ft. pole based on what I found.

Probably wise. I can't recall fake au-pair vacancies in China before, but that doesn't mean anything. It would only be a minor change to this particular scam.
