I gave my paypal email address (only) to an AutoTrader scammer - Frank Bloomfield. Am I at risk?

Thanks

If you didn't give him any confidential personal information that would enable him to guess or reset your password, pretty much the only thing that should happen is an increase of scam offers.

Hello gbulger!

As Dotti said there is not much they can do with just the email address as long as they don't have a way to get your password. The scammer wants your paypal email address so he can send you fake paypal emails telling you money has been transferred to you. It's of course all fake and that is how the scam works. They will overpay then tell you to send the overpayment via Western Union. The transfer was fake and paypal does not offer escrow service.

Cam you post the scammers full details including his email address? Also if you received any emails from the fake paypal please post those email addresses as well. This will help others avoid the scammer.

Justin
