That is what a typical scammer will do. try to get you off of the site because he knows he will soon be kicked off as a scammer or because the credit card he signed up with is stolen.

Please take a look in our Romance scam section to get a sense of how they try to trick their victims.

Welcome to ScamWarners! Could you post the headers of the message? We can tell where the message comes from, which is probably Senegal. (Senegal is a hotbed of romance scammers. Every few months I get a message, badly translated into Spanish, from someone in Senegal who found me in a directory.)
