Hi kyka, Yes this is a scam. Good job to you for spotting it! Travel agencies do not process visa applications or work permits. Legitimate companies do not request payment through Western Union or other money wiring service.

This sounds like it started with some kind of employment scam. Please post up whatever additional information you have, but be sure to delete out your own information.

The person who wrote this mail to you is a scammer AND an idiot.

Travel agents cannot supply visas. You must apply to the embassy yourself.

The idiot who contacted you does not even know the correct type of visa that should be applied for

Treaty Traders & Investors (E Visas)
Introduction

Treaty Trader visas (E-1) and Treaty Investor visas (E-2) are non-immigrant visas for nationals of a country with which the United States maintains a treaty of friendship, commerce and navigation who wish to go to the United States for one of two purposes: to carry on substantial trade, principally between the United States and the treaty country (E-1); or to develop and direct the operations of an enterprise in which the national has invested or is in the process of investing a substantial amount of capital (E-2).

I won't detail the correct type of visa in case any scammers visit this forum looking for information.

Non-EU citizens should go here to find out about obtaining a visa to work as an au pair in the UK

Whenever payment is requested by Western Union you're dealing with a scammer

That's a good point that Gomer has made.

Travel Agents do not arrange visas or work permits, they book holidays and flights. The only way that you will get a visa is by visiting the Consulate or Embassy of the country that you wish to visit IN PERSON. The Consulate will require fees, but they will not receive them by Western Union.

Please do not tell scammers that they are listed here - it will take them seconds to change their fake details and their new details will not be listed for any future victims to find.
