I received a very similar letter allegedly from Sir Michael Rake, the Chairman of BT Group in London (BT is the oldest telecommunications company in the world), via LinkedIn.

This is structured as a Nigerian 409 Scam. Just imagine the Chair f a prominent company sending a non encrypted e mail like this (and the USA NSA Echelon program computers having fun reading it).
