Definitely a scam. The English contains the normal grammatical errors of an African (verb tense, misuse of capitalization, disjointed sentences, word choice). The basic concept of the script is pretty standard. This would turn into one of two types of scams--either a travel/visa scam or a check scam.

Travel/visa--if you are outside of the US, "her" travel agent will arrange for your rush passport/visas for a fee --of course there is no travel agent, just her or a designee picking up your cash.
Fake check scam (she sends you a check for your pay, you are to cash it and forward much of it to the piano instructor, gardener, whatever; or she sends you a check, you cash it, a family emergency arises and she is not coming so she needs a refund urgently. Banks are required to issue cash in 5 days if a check has not been determined to be fraudulent, but they have the right to take the total amount of the check, plus fees/fines, back from you even weeks later if they discover it was fake or stolen. The scammer needs you give them the money immediately (before the bank discovers the check is fraudulent).

A few other points:
-No parent would be offering a nanny a job based on a profile--they would want at least an interview and references.
-No parent would be making final job arrangements by email.
-No site is referenced because they are mass mailing this to people posted on multiple sites, and may not know which applicant was from which site if they bought a list of addresses, so they just leave that site out.

Edit to add: can you add any other information you have on "her"--email address, phone #'s if you have any or receive any, last name if she is using one...
