I haven't responded back to this person, but I was selling an item on ebay we had appraised for 225 dollars. We couldn't sell it at that price so we dropped it to 150. We got a correspondance from a person, was this person trying to scam us? This person still wants the trunk, should I talk to them again?
Message 1:
well I bought 2 this last week & I think 4 dolls
Kinda went a little crazy
Although I also need more trunks
The 2 I bought are smaller for my antique glass stuff & one to keep my kittys chow & can food in.
I'm packing all my quilts , antiques & stuff I just cant seem to sell & I refuse to use rubbermaid....lol
Gezzzz, I dont know what to do
What is the cheapest you would let it go for
And can you send me all the photos you have of it to
Message 2 from me:
Truthfully, he might let it go for 125. It comes with two old fashioned candle holders too. Anyway, I attached a video! Have fun looking at it!

I was laughing you sound cute !
Anyways hun
Lets do this
If you are sure he is giving the candle holders free with the trunk, then look at them real good on the under side & see if you see any markings, numbers, or anything that can help tell how old they are or who made em
Also check the trunk on the bottom
the best way is to turn it on its side with the lid open & have a light behind it
Can you see any gaps , or holes where the light is coming through
Also check around the edges where the tin meets the tin, & where the tin meets the wood on the underside
Are all the nails in place, are there any tears or rips on the tin
Is there any real bad rust damage where is has made the tin flack away
and last but not least does it still have the wheels
I know its not your trunk , but you may want to have your uncle go on ebay & see what ones have bids on them & what they are selling for
It is a real pretty trunk , that's for sure , but it needs to be restored & that takes a lot of money too
Normally I pay around 50 to 75 for the old ones that havent been restored
Here are a few pixs of mine & the prices I paid
I mean if it looks good , I would like to buy it, but were going to have to work on the price
125.00 is just too much for a old trunk, there really not as rear as you think
$ 60.00 including the shipping
$ 130.00 including the shipping
$ 80.00 including shipping
60.00 including shipping
$ 100 including shipping
40.00 including shipping
he doesent have to list it back in ebay to sell it to me if he dosent want to
he can invoice me from paypal , I can show you how
let him know & at least show him these pixs
get back with me when you can
Talk to ya soon ~ Blessings ~ Tabby

He said if it was only worth that much, he'll just keep it. He just wanted to sell if it he could get a good amount of money out of it.

I might be able to go 100.00 next month
but right now I'm selling a few antiques of my own to pay for the other 2 trunks & dolls I bought
Really just keep it, I buy 2 or 3 a month
some I keep, some I restore & sell
I still need at least 3 more to get my packing done
