Also, I've called the number provide three times and have yet to speak to a Linda Smith and left call back info. The female voice on the answering machine is foreign, maybe Indian but I'm not really qualified to say. Definitely not American or indicative of the names and photos on their website though. In my naivety I would like to think this is legit and would be prosperous. I decided if I would through with this that I would subject bank account information w/ an empty account since "no money down" is required. I subject one the bank account information is submitted however that I would not hear from them again and would not be able to contact them which is the case so far. I have gotten a response from my replies to the e-mails but they were "boiler plate" responses and could have gone to anyone.

Yes, I am interested and would like the position; I'm sorry I didn't know there was an expiration or I would have notified you that I am in the process of getting a new ID. That was two days ago on Wednesday. I have not received a reply and I called again today with same answering machine message and left no message.

It's a scam
While the website http://www.index-groupinc.com/e/ looks impressive, it was set up last month for only one year, even though it claims that the business dates back to 1990. And whoever registered the web address gave an address in Russia.
Using a free email address like Gmail then switching to another is also a scammer trick. It's the first address used for the initial bulk email issue that's more likely to get closed.
I'm taking a closer look at the website. The contents are possibly stolen from a genuine site, and there may be a real business with this name.

I guess they hope that the account information you turn in will have funds in it. They also ask for your online bank account information. I guess I'm wondering now how they got my resume from careerbuilder. Are they a registered employer on there? Thanks for everything.

Yeah, looks to be the same. Thanks for everything. I have not gotten any more mails and have not contacted them and on the site the enchantress post a woman state their number does not work anymore. They probably got word that people were onto them. I just wish the career websites would/could do more to keep these "fake" employers off their site. I think an employer should be "authenticated" to be able to view members resumes that are posted.

In a perfect world yes, unfortunately they are a business focussed on money from advertising, removing scammers while is in their best interest, is not high on their priority list
