This may or may not belong here, but I think it is a 'recovery' scam, but mods feel free to move it to an appropriate place if needed:

Hi breakwind

Welcome to Scamwarners.

There is no doubt that is a scam but at my local time its a bit late to do too much digging

I did however find another slightly altered example of the same email here Click Here

Please take a look around and ask if you have any questions

Yea I already knew it was a scam, just didn't know WHERE to post it, ;)

Hi Breakwind and welcome. Thanks for posting the scam email. It's not a recovery scam; recovery scams target people who were already victims promising to help them get their money back or get the scammer arrested. This is the "wealthy orphan" version of an advance fee fraud scam. I'll move the thread to the Advance Fee Fraud forum for you. Please do continue posting scams here and let me know if you have any further questions about where to post. :D

Have you sent a payment to a scammer with Western Union and now realize it's a scam? If the payment has not been picked up, you can cancel it immediately! 1-800-448-1492

This scammer has written quite a sad tale about how, after his father was assassinated, his mother came out of the house, shouting - and got shot too.

He wants to paint a heart-rending picture, so that we will feel compassion for him.

It comes under the heading of 'Advance Fee Fraud', because he is also offering 30% of his inherited millions to the recipient ..... but it will later be revealed that, in order to obtain it, an 'advance fee' will need to be paid. This might be for essential documents, or for bank transfer costs, delivery charges, lawyer's fees, or anything else the scammer thinks will sound believable.

You, Breakwind, recognised that as a scam, and knew that the writer of this email was lying - he is not the son of a politician, and there is no inheritance of millions, and no money will ever be transferred to anybody else's bank account. But I'll add my thanks to you for posting it, so others, hopefully, can find out, also, that it is a scam, and won't be fooled by the sad (invented) story that the scammer begins his email with.
