As CEO of The Dove Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in the US, I can attest that [email protected] is a scammer. We have been plagued by this scam for over a year. Can someone tell me how to get a "cease and desist order" for a UK scammer? It's causing a hassle for us. Thank you.

Hello DoveGuy and welcome to ScamWarners.

Although it may look like the scammer is operating from the UK, an analysis of the email header shows that it was actually sent from Accra in Ghana. It is likely that the scammer will be operating anonymously from an Internet cafe in Accra, so your chances of getting a "cease and desist" order to work is zero. Also, the email address that was used is now closed, which means that the scammer will probably set up a new one.

You may be better off adding a statement to your website to state that you do not make donations of the type described in the email.

Please do not tell scammers that they are listed here - it will take them seconds to change their fake details and their new details will not be listed for any future victims to find.

Not sure if this is related, but Dove Foundation also has a facebook page (Anna Dove); she also has a email address at [email protected]. She works in conjunction with another scammer using aliases: Harry Willson, at [email protected] as well as [email protected].
