Dear Sir,

Confidential Business Proposal,

Briefly,I am an accountant with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).

Having consulted with my colleagues and based on the information gathered from the Nigerian Chamber Of Commerce And Industry,I have the privilege to request your assistance to transfer the sum of $47,500,000.00 (forty seven million, five hundred thousand United States dollars) into your account.

The above sum resulted from an over-invoiced contract, executed, commissioned and paid off about five years (5) ago by a foreign contractor who had left the country after he was paid.

This action was however intentional as most senior public servants use the avenue to enrich themselves in office and get retired and since then the fund has been floating in a suspense account at The Central Bank Of Nigeria Apex Bank under special arrangements.

We are now ready to transfer the funds overseas and that is why I am contacting you to come in. It is important to inform you that as civil servants, we are forbidden from operating a foreign account based on the provisions of the civil service code of conduct and
that is why we require your assistance in this regard. The total sum will be shared as follows: 70% for us, 25% for you and 5% for local and international expenses incidental to the transfer.

The transaction is absolutely risk free on both sides as we shall follow it legally. If you find this proposal acceptable, please,we shall require the following documents while replying thus:

(a) Your bank name, telephone, account and fax numbers.

(b) Your private telephone and fax numbers —for confidentiality and easy communication.

Please reply urgently.

Best regards,

Mr Allen Jeff,
Senior Accountant,
Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation(NNPC).
