With reference: File No:39067/C4/ICB/2011,I brought to your notice your yet to be transferred inheritance funds in the liquidated Tano Rural Bank in Asutifi District of Brong Ahafo in Ghana, after due consideration of the fact that you had not been able to claim your rightful inheritance FUNDS, which our data base computer has generated from the Bank of Ghana (Central Bank of Ghana) with the sum of $7.5 M USD, being the exacts amount due for your payment from Tano Rural Bank. The depositors at Tano Rural Bank, which was liquidated as far back as 2006 had not been compensated or paid in line with the Liquidation Banking Law.
The Federal Ministry of Finance in collaboration with the Bank of Ghana (Central Bank of Ghana) has decided that all beneficiaries who have not fulfilled all paperwork request for the release of his/her inheritance fund should now contact the Nominated Paying Bank {ICB)for payment.
This was agreed based on the fact that most of the depositors, who number in hundreds, are landowners and farmers whose lands were acquired by Newmont Gold Ghana Limited, which paid their compensations into the liquidated Tano Rural Bank.
Therefore the present administration has invoke ACT 738: Banking Amendment Act of 2007: Section 3,(F) subsection 4 and 5.for the immediate compensation of both local and foreigners. In line with banking rules and regulations the Bank of Ghana had in consultation with ICB for the immediate release of this liquidated fund in this last quarter of the banking year 2012.
