Hi. good that i searched and found your website. After reading most the topics here. I absolutely belived that I am a victim. I got these email from yesterday form a guy whom i got to know from a site.

Hi Darling!

I bought my ticket and confirmed my flight to Venezuela late so I was busy running around to make my journey and also send the parcel that I promised.

I have sent the parcel containing Perfumes,a gold neck-less with a rose flower and the sum of 10,500USD sealed in the same pack to enable you settle some of your daily needs and to take good care of your self, I can imagine how hard you could be working just alone to make a better life.. Just accept this token from me.

Since there was no time to contact you any longer for your bank account details to do a bank transaction I had no option than to sealed the money in the same pack with a rose flower right in the same pack and the gold neck-less as promised.

he said in his email that the package will arrived in 3-4 days time.

I ask my friend about it and she said try to search for it coz a lot of scammers now. I tried to call him tru the number he gave me and i reached him. The part that gave me this bad feeling was that the number he gave me was UK number where he said he is working in Sydney. And I told him I'm afraid to recieve the package which is true and I asked him to retrived it back. He said he can't coz already sent the call was just 30 mins ago coz i can't sleep really for 2 days now. when i keep on telling him to retrived it back he hang the phone. The package will arrive sometime next week. So I will not be surprised if i got a call from Malaysian immigration to pay for etc. to retrieve the package.

I would like to seek for your advise if ever i disregard the call of from malaysian immigration they can't harm me am i correct?

Please i need someone to talk to.

Welcome here v1ctim.

This sounds like a romance scam and i can imagine why this guy sends such a package so suddenly. If you ever get an email or a call it won't be coming from Malasyan immigration, but from this same scammer or one of his associates. These scammers will ask you to pay for customs fees and maybe even insurance fees. Best advice is simple: do nothing! Don't pay for a package you don't want. Never send any money to someone you have met on internet. If he calls you then hang up. If he sends an email just delete it. If you're persistant then he will loose interest in you and he will leave you alone because he knows he can't scam you. It doesn't matter if he knows your address, he will forget it when he lost interest in you. Could you send one of his other emails with the full headers please? Then we can find out where he is. If you don't know how to do that then just ask and we will help you with it.

hi David,

Thanks for the quick response. now 1 can rest my mind and sleep and warn others who do such things. about sending the emails with full headers I have no idea. Can you help me how?
by David Jansen Sat Dec 19, 2009 2:55 pm
Well, with some email accounts there is a link which says "show headers". If you click on that you will see the email but now with full headers. The headers are just some information which the user don't have to see but is very important for sending and delivering the email. But not all email accounts are thesame so it could be different with yours. Which email account do you use? Gmail, Yahoo or the account of your internet provider?
And before you post the headers here you should take out your own email address from the headers.

hi,

I'm using yahoo account.
by David Jansen Sat Dec 19, 2009 3:33 pm
On Yahoo it's quite simple.
Sign in to your Yahoo account and open one of the scammers emails. On top of that email you see several buttons with functions like delete, reply, foreward, spam, move, print and action. The action button is the one you need. Click on the action button and a small menu will appear. In that menu there are some extra functions and down below is the function Full Header. Click on Full Header and you will see this:

Then put the cursor on the frame with the headers and right click and then click on select all. Then copy the headers and paste them in your message here. That's all.
As you can see in my headers i took my own email address out . You can do this when you have paste the headers in the message field . I hope this explanation is clear to you. I do this all the time so it's easy for me.

Hi guys,

i really appreciate all your help. Thanks.

This is his first email to me after the short messages getting to know.
They are not afraid to use the name of our Saviour to fool people. Hope with the woman who got emailed from this impostor you still have chance to save your money and time. I'll keep you posted for any more emails that I will get from this especailly now the pacakage that he told me will arrive sometime next week.

Hello,

It was really good to receive email from you. I am doing well here, everything is great. My life is awesome and my job is beautiful, having understanding friends who keep me going. How about you? Hopefully everything is just fine and happening the way what you expected them to be.

You really look nice, just what I'm looking for! How about we get to know each other a bit better and see what will happen. I want to tell you about my fate when feeling are so powerful it’s as if some force beyond my control is guiding me to someone who can make me happy beyond my wildest dreams.

You may want to tell me some more about yourself in the area of religion, and what you will like to get out of this friendship assuming it grows positively... well about me,

To start about myself, I am Jones Daniel, living and working in Sydney, Australia. My father is late and Mum is in UK, born as British with Australian character. I am working as a mining Engineer in shell Australia. I have work for years. Being a single person, working so much without having much time for myself most of my time spent in offshore and I just enjoy it though it’s very tiring. I love to chill out with my friends during weekends, go to mall, watching football and once a month I will going to my Mum’s house in London to visit her and take my nieces and nephews for outing.

I am a Man who is hilariously funny, understanding, energetic, spontaneous and stone headed but very soft hearted. I also a man with very strong principle and always try to take my religion along with me, wherever I go, whenever it is and with whoever I am. I respect different religion exist in this world because they hold similar teachings which brings peace to everyone and makes you a better man. It sounds a little boring …well that’s how I am when it comes into serious matter. I will tell you more about me as soon as you tell me a bit about you.

Finally, I will wait for life time for your response and please do not hurry to write me because i know we all lead a busy life, so please take your time and write me when you have the chance to do so.

Regards
Jones.

Welcome V1ctim,

As the others have said, this is definitely a romance scam. Even without the "package" information, this first email you posted is enough to confirm that it is a scam, as I can guarantee it was not written by someone from the UK or Australia. The author is most likely African, as the mistakes are consistent with those African authors tend to make.

In fact, if you look at this letter posted elsewhere from "Edwin Nelson" I'm sure you can see the similarities and the pieces that are identical: http://anti-scam.de/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1250883666
You said he had a UK phone number. Does that number start with 44-70 by any chance? I'm guessing it does. 44-70 are free redirect numbers that can be sent to phones in different countries all over the world, including Malaysia and many other countries. Scammers routinely use these numbers to conceal their true location.

The good news is that you don't have to worry about what to do with the parcel because there is no parcel containing jewels, money, or anything of value whatsoever. It is a lie. The story of the parcel is just the beginning of a way to get money from you. One of several things will probably happen:

1) He will tell you he was arrested because he didn't know it was illegal to send the money, and he will need you to help him out of the mess by paying a fine/bailing him out of jail, etc.
2) He will have an accident or an emergency of some kind, and he can't pay for it because he sent the money to you (of course he really didn't). He will need you to wire him money right away, but will tell you that it will be ok because you have the money from him coming.
3) You will be contacted by "customs," the "shipper," or some official or person regarding the package. The reasons given will vary, but the end result is that you will have to pay money, either to receive the package, or to pay the fines because you are in trouble over the package. In reality, the person who contacts you will be the scammer using another name and email address and/or phone number.
No matter which story he uses, your response should be the same--ignore all contact from him or anybody else claiming to be connected to him or the "parcel". Stop emailing him, don't answer his phone calls, and move on with your life. Don't tell him that he has been caught or tell him what he did wrong--you don't want to teach him how to be a better scammer. Just move on with your life, and ignore any contact from him and anybody claiming to know or be connected to him In the future, if you are at all in doubt about someone you are in contact with, please feel free to contact us for help in sorting it out!

Hi guys,

I went out of town to refresh a bit. Actually at first I was just afraid for that big amount of money that he put in the package coz it may be illegal and what will happen to me if really immigration people know about it I can be deported. so I keep on searching on internet and ask my friends for help . I'm glad to find this website with this topic viewtopic.php?f=4&t=3070 .

And all the written on this post have resemblance with what was happening to me. So I keep on reading most of the post here. Presto I got the answer for all my questions now I don't have much to worry coz no package with money at all.I can go back to my country with peace of mind and enjoy the holiday. Maybe tomorrow or tues someone will email me about it. i will keep you posted coz from the website that he gave me www.multilinkcou.com the parcel is already in Tokyo.

Actually I have a bad feeling already about his voice over the phone and no number was register everytime he called me. And his accent is different from a real UK one coz we had a UK client in our office. Maybe I'm just curious so i keep dealing with him in his previous email he didin't mention about the money only flowers and necklace he will send. that's why i got surprised and scared upon reading his last email that he put money on it. I emailed him and ask for his number I even said coz i miss you so kindly give me your number but actually i want to tell him to retrieve back the package. I even told him if you didn;t retrieve it I will send it back to address written on it. That's the time he hang up the phone.

I already deleted my account to all the sites with these kind of people and I will be active in reminding other people about this scam. If he will harrass me i'll let you know.

Thanks and I'll keep you posted.

I did a couple of quick checks, and it looks like you have unearthed a fake website here. We have people over at our sister site, 419 Eater, who specialize in filing reports with the site hosts and getting those sites closed down. If you still have them, could you post any emails you found that are from or that talk about this shipping company? Remove your personal information (name, email, any phone numbers) of course. If you have them but don't feel comfortable posting them, you can copy them into a PM to me or any member of the support staff. The emails will help our site killers in getting the website killed.

Killing the site will make it harder for him to scam the next victim, and even if he creates a new site, it will cost him time and money--which reduces the time and money he has available for scamming..
