So I was trying to save some money. Received an email with a list of goods. So I thought I'd give it a try, they had to use moneygram only. The email came from [email protected] .. The person who I sent the money to was Wolet Brown, supposedly at 4390 Lake Rd in Miami Fl. I sent the money ($200) via monegram, and 1-2 days later, an email comes in from EMS MEDICAL COURIER <[email protected]> wanting to insure the package for $310, ya right! .. I lost $200, but sent them an email stating I'd contact my attorney, the local police and the local law enforcement in Miami Fl. Haven't heard from them since. Don't send them money, its a fraud and a scam!

Hi dontgetscammed and welcome to scamwarners. Sorry to hear you lost $200 but happy to hear that it wasn't any more. Please post up any emails you received from this person along with the full email headers.

The scammers are probably not in Florida or even in the US. Once you send money via moneygram, they can pick it up anywhere in the world. With the email headers we might be able to identify which country they are operating out of.

You might want to contact your local law enforcement to report the crime. They will not be able to do anything in terms of catching the thief, but it good to have it on record.

Edit to add: I just did a search on the [email protected] email address and this person has ads all over the internet trying to sell his merchandise. And he has been using this same ID for a couple of years.
