Yup it's a fraud. I knew it was some kind of fraud because the way I was contacted was out of line. The email says it was from a site I go to normally and there was actually a notice on that site from this person! That's the scary part! It was almost as if it was real. Then I did a search on the member on the web and she was not there so, nope.

It's a standard advance fee scammer approach. These scammer sign up for dating sites, forums, and special interest boards, and send the same message of "interest" to hundreds, sometimes thousands, of members. If the site has moderators, the scammer will often disappear when the moderators find out and ban them or close their accounts.

The approach and the language (I see "she" also posted it on a beekeeping forum) is typical of a refugee scammer. The scammer will claim to be an innocent young woman (more likely it is really a man) whose family was killed. Often "she" claims to be living in a refugee camp in Senegal. "She" will need your help to get out of her country and claim the millions of dollars her daddy left that she can't claim without help. The scammer may introduce other characters like pastors and lawyers.

In the end, it's all lies. There is no young heiress, only a scammer who is hoping to collect your money in the form of fees or bribes that are supposedly needed for this "deal."
