My Philipppinian girlfriend received this email and responded to it. Luckily she asked me about it and I think it's a scam, so I want to warn others about it....

This is the email:

I need a honest and caring living-in male or female nanny/caretaker who will be take of my son Erick. I was told by a friend of mine that Filipinos are good in taking care of kids that is why i need someone from Philippines.
I am willing to offer salary amount of 2,500 British Pounds every month, Food and Accommodation.And also i will put my effort to make sure that the travel papers will be legal secured.In case if you are interested to be a nanny/careter to my son, urgently get back to me. Or If you know someone who is willing and capable in taking care of kids,please ask the person to contact me: [email protected]

Welcome to Scamwarners. That is undoubtedly a scam. The English isn't good, but the 4470 telephone number is the real proof. It's a free one that redirects incoming calls to another phone anywhere in the world. Probably Nigeria in this case, judging by the phrasing.

I also recieved this email,and my friend from UK i told him to check on the number and he was able to talk to the steve olav,but after a long exchanging pf emails when he said the I am the one who need to pay for my work permit, then i proved it was a scam, ive search same letter on the internet and yes it was a scam.///

The 'work permit' was just an invention of his - there was no genuine job on offer, and no work permit to obtain. He was lying, intending to steal your money. It is good news that you realised it was a scam.

I edited your post to make it clear that you were posting another format from the scammer. Thank you for posting this information. I see that he has changed company names and addresses in this one--has his email address changed, or is he still scamming under the same address? If there is a new email address could you post it to alert potential victims?

i hope my post will also warn others that this mr olav and his need for a nanny is 100% SCAM. thanks so much for this web site. this help me so much for i had been exchanging e-mail to this mr olav for quite a while and i may say that he made me believe on all of his e-mails were true, but after this mr. brown his travel agency told me that i had to send him 350 british pounds for my work permit. it made me think twice, and had made me to found this site. Thanks so much. I hope this post will also help others
