Dear Friend,

With due respect, I am Mangalani Peter of Investec Private Bank Limited, London branch, United Kingdom. I have an obscured business suggestion for you. Before the U.S and Iraqi war our client Major Fadi Bassem who was with the Iraqi forces and also a business man made a numbered fixed deposit for 18 calendar months, with a value of twenty four million five hundred thousand United State Dollars in my branch. Upon maturity several notices was sent to him, even during the war. Again after the war another notification was sent and still no response came from him. We later found out that the Major and his family had been killed during the war in a bomb blast that hit their home.

After further investigations it was also discovered that Major Fadi Bassem did not declare any next of kin in his official papers including the paper work of his bank deposit. And he also confided in me the last time he was at my office that no one except me knew of his deposit in my bank.

As you can see, twenty four million five hundred thousand United States Dollars is still lying in my bank and no one will ever come forward to claim it. What bothers me most is that according to the laws of my country at the expiration of 9 years the funds will revert to the ownership of the British Government if nobody applies to claim the funds. Against this backdrop, my suggestion to you is that I will like you as a foreigner to stand as the next of kin to Major Fadi Bassem so that you will be able to receive this funds.

WHAT IS TO BE DONE:

I want you to know that I have had everything planned out so that we will come out successful. I will use my official position to make the bank lawyer to help in obtaining the necessary document that will back you up as the next of kin to Major Fadi Bassem, all that is required from you at this stage is for you to provide me with your full names and address so that the attorney can commence his job, after you have been made the next of kin, the attorney will also file in for claims on your behalf and secure the necessary documentation for the movement of the funds to an account that will be provided by you.

There is no risk involved at all in the matter as we are going to adopt a legalized method and the attorney will prepare all the necessary documents. Please endeavor to observe utmost discretion in all matters concerning this issue. Once the funds have been transferred, we shall share in the ratio of 60% for me, 30% for you and 10% for any expenses incurred during the course of this operation. Should you be interested please send me your private phone and fax numbers for easy communication, and finally after that I shall provide you with more details of this operation.

Your earliest response to this letter will be appreciated. Reply to my private email [email protected]

Kind Regards,

Peter Mangalani.

I want you to understand that the fund is deposited with my bank in London as I have indicated in my proposal to you, the funds are clean funds and ready for release once I send my instructions to bank. The deceased died intestate, without a will on the deposit, I was the account officer in charge before his death. All you said noted and i pray thee to see me as a brother and a partner, with one mind we will get it done.

All that is needed for us to do; is to secure documents from the UK Court of Law, with my official powers here, I shall secure a letter of approval from the the bank INVESTEC PRIVATE BANK presenting you as the kin to the deceased, then apply to Her Majesty Court Probate Department in London for the Issuance of a letter of Administration, a grant of Probate, and a change of title to your name as the kin, these document is to back up your clam legally when applying to the bank for the release of the deposit with them in London. Once I submit my report to the bank presenting you as the next of kin, it will be approved immediately since I am his account officer and the closest worker to him before he died.

To enable us move forward I will employ you to send me your contact details as stated bellow to enable me to produce the proofs you asked for from the bank.

2. Address:

3. Phone and Fax no:

4. Your Identification.

Dear XXX,

How are you today and your family? I hope you all are doing well. I wish to inform you that you have been recognized as the next of Kin to late Major Fadi Bassem. The bank has finally giving its consent to my report after due diligence was carried out.

To this end Inevestec private bank have officially agreed to release the fund to you upon Identification.

I am also pleased to inform you that Investec Private Bank have informed her probate lawyer to represent your interest at Her Majesty court probate department for the obtaining of a letter of administration, an affidavit of change of title to your name. After due deliberation with bank’s executives for you to be represented by their probate lawyer, the bank have agreed, but only on one condition, that you will be responsible for the court charges and for the cost of the documents that will be obtained on your name as the next of kin. Investec Private Bank will not be responsible for the cost of the documents from her Majesty court London , as the bank is not benefiting in any aspect from your claim. The deposit was only made by the bank on behalf of the deceased. It was agreed in our meeting that, you as the next of Kin will bear the cost for the documents from the court of law.

You are only asked to be responsible for the cost of the documents; Investec Private Bank’s probate lawyer is to assist you at the court of law, and as such the lawyer will not charge you for his retainer’s fees, but for the cost for the documents only.

A copy of the letter of recognition was also faxed to the bank probate lawyer this morning to inform him of the claim. As an insider I will not want to be seen or have anything from now on to do with this claim as it has finally come to an end on my table officially. Since the bank have finally given their consent on my report, you will have to be in charge of the whole process as I will be here to give you directives on areas you will need my assistance.

To avoid suspicion from my colleagues, you will have to contact the lawyer yourself without my interference. All you need do now is to get in touch with the lawyer give him a copy of the letter of recognition, your complete details for him to update his records and find out from him what it will cost you to get the documents required. Below is a prototype letter I have mapped out, you will forward it to him, informing him that you will not be able to travel at this point to the UK that you will request him to represent your interest in London. The lawyer is not to ask you any question or what so ever since the bank is the one asking him to represent your interest he has nothing really to ask you, do send all his correspondence to me so I can give you directives of what do to.

Below is the contact detail of the lawyer. Do keep me posted with development,

My sincere regards to your family,

Mangalani Peter.

Dear XXX,

Sequel to your request for legal representation and your subsequent presentation of a Letter of Recognition and your information sent. I wish to inform you that I was made known of your inheritance claim by our esteemed client (Investec Private Bank) and I have concluded preliminary investigation into your claims with Investec Private Bank. This investigation includes a due diligence done on the document they forwarded to me to enable me represent you at the court of law for the above required documents. We have also carried out our verification with the bank as regards to your claim.

Sir, I hereby formally accept your request for legal representation. I have done my homework very well, and have outlined my modus operandi to achieve your goal (securing the release of the fund deposited which is a part of your inheritance).

Sir, in line with the new statutory charges for probate claims where a Letter of administration is to be issued, the issuance of a letter of administration goes with the payment of a statutory levy to the court. This levy in this case has been calculated to approximately £4,800. This levy must be paid to the court when submitting the application for the issuance of the letter of administration. This is the reason why I am asking you to pay £4,800 to enable us initiate the whole legal process of securing your inheritance.

I will communicate to you how to make the payment when you notify me of your readiness to do so.. Madam, feel free to ask any questions as it will enable me serve you better as my desire is to discharge my statutory obligations to you to the fullest of your wish.

Yours Sincerely,

Clifford Harris.

Attn;XXX,

I know the law and you cannot teach me the law of the land. The account i sent to you is in order and nobody or Government can hold you for money laundry.Note that it is a polite insult on my person saying that i am using random women.

I am having issues with my bank for the main time and i don't want a situation you may make payment and they will withhold it and that will jeopardize my contract with you.If you are not relaxed with the account, go to Western Union and pay the said amount in my name.CLIFFORD HARRIS.

I will not comment on this issue of payment again.I feel i am in order and you are suppose to take instructions from me.

Sincerely,
Clifford Harris.
