With due respect,

I am contacting you regarding an investigation that is on going in our
institution to determine who should inherit a certain business portfolio
left behind by a late customer that died interstate. This contact was
initiated with you after it was discovered that you could be a possible
relative of the late customer because you share the same family name.

I am the official in charge of this investigation on behalf of the
institution and I wish to establish contact with you to intimate you with
some details which I believe you might find interesting. The portfolio in
question is of a sizable value and I want to first in good fate determine
if you are related to the late customer or not.

You will understand that I have not introduced myself neither did I
mention the name of the institution and the kind of institution I am
referring to. I have deliberately left out such information from this mail
for security reasons because of the sensitive nature of what it entails.

I only request that you respond to this email to confirm the receipt of
the email so that we can proceed from there. The aim of this communication
is to determine if you are related to the late customer so that you can be
nominated next of kin to the late customer who should inherit the
portfolio he left behind.

I hope to hear from you soon. Note that once communication is established
we will then transfer our communication to official channels.

Sincerely,

Steevn Mark
