Hi everyone,
I write from Germany, so you have to excuse my English. I was contacted by an US-soldier who got my dates via dating site (parship.de). He wanted direct contact via email and we started chatting via MSN Messenger about two weeks ago. He told me he was stationed in Iraq. And that I should never talk to anybody about him and his career.
I first started getting distrustful when he kind of quoted strange lines during our conversation or asked the same question for a start several times. He told me a really sad story about his wife died of cancer 5 years ago and how he had to pay for all the operations. He told me as well that he couldn't end his deployment because the army would ask him to pay some transit fees and medical fees prior to that. He told me then that he had been cheated before by a girl friend asking him to lend her money and never paid back.
I asked for his unit then. He was a bit upset. After that it was the story of how we can talk over the phone because he told me first that soldiers are not allowed to use a mobile phone and after that he turned to I would have to get in touch with the army and get some T2-Satelitte contact. He gave me an email-address: [email protected]. When I googled that one I got across your site here. And now I wonder if he is telling the truth or whether he is also some kind of scam.
I didn't even realise there are people like him outside in the net. I am so naive...
Could you please help me with this guy.
Thanks a lot.
Barb
