Manchini Lattes [email protected] ATM card scam

Here's another ATM card scam and as you can see in the second email, the scammer doesn't waste time before he will ask to pay for some made up fees.

This is to inform you that the First National Bank of South Africa have issued you with an ATM card to the value of USD500,000.00 (Five Hundred Thousand United States Dollars Only) as approved by the Foreign payment committe regarding your outstanding debt.

To that effet, we wish to notify you that the balance will be paid to you in due course. Please find attached a copy of the atm CARD ISSUED TO YOU yesterday the 7th of June 2010. You will be requested to vist our office here in Johannesburg to take the ATM card or we can send it through Courier Srvice as the case might be. In the event of us sending the card by courier, you will be required to settle the courier charges of EURO110 (Hundred and Ten Euro Only) before the card will depart. Dear Madam,

Your email was received and the details noted. First we have to inform you that your payment was zoned on the second category of beneficiaries. The maximum amount we can issue in your name is USD500,000.00 as approved under the second category payments. The first category received their full amount of USD1M as advised.

The Government of South Africa is trying very much to facilitate all payments and we decided to do this before the commencement of the 2010 world cup which will be held in South Africa. We fully recognize that your fund total is USD2.1 M and be rest assured that the balance will be paid in installments of USD5,000.000 which will be credited on your card after every three months till we finalize all payments. We are unable to pay you in full at the moment because we do not have sufficient funds to do that. We are working only on the allocation mapped for us.

Secondly, we advise that you send the charges for the courier which amounts to Euro110 to enable my office send the card to you via courier by tomorrow. Note that you will also be present in person to collect the card as the card cannot be issued to a second party. You will be present with a copy of your identification to collect the card which can be sent tomorrow upon confirmation that you have paid the charges as requested through western union money Transfer with the following details.
