I'm not sure if this belongs in check scams, job scams, or charity scams, because it's a bit of all three.
Potential victims are asked to make a charitable donations through the Guinness Charity Foundation (There is no such organization).
They are provided with fake checks and asked to deposit or cash them. They are then asked to send money via Western Union or MoneyGram to someone else. There may be variations on the exact details of the scam.
Here is the first email you might receive:
This (or something similar) is the email you will receive once you get started:
All of the domains and websites listed in the email are dead. They either never existed, or someone shut them down. Email can still disguise itself to be from those domains however using spoofing or aliasing techniques.
They will waste no time in asking you deposit a fake check and send a payment off using Western Union:
I can find references to legitimate companies called Diamond Courier Services, but you can be sure, these criminals have no relationship to any legitimate companies.
