Boko Haram are real, and pose something of a threat to Nigeria's national security. This scam letter is no threat whatsoever, to anybody anywhere. Do not take any notice of it, and simply delete it.

It's a nasty scam as it frightens some recipients, but isn't probably very profitable. I see that this one has already been reported to our sister site www.419eater.com and is being baited by several people.

I agree that so-called "hitman" scams can be particularly nasty; even from the get-go the motivation for sending money is born from fear of one's life. Not only that, but the scammers themselves are exceptionally aggressive towards their victims, and when baited, unleash a tirade of violent threats and obscenities upon discovering they've been made a fool of. It doesn't bear thinking what a real, unsuspecting victim would feel when confronted with such an e-mail in their inbox.

Though it is not of any real importance, but I personally have been scambaiting this particular person. Really unpleasant individual - foul-mouthed and highly aggressive.

Once again, if anybody finds an e-mail like this: delete it immediately.
