Telephone based Fraudulent and/or Zombie Debt Collection scam has been going on for the past several months. Telephone numbers used are: 844-811-3906 and 844-845-2144. They claim to be from Lennox Legal, Lenox Legal or Linux Legal. Also uses the phrase Legal Outsourcing. If payment is made, it appears on the statement as JMR Processing. Other telephone numbers used are 855-897-4826 and 855-884-4548.
They call and appear to be a collection agency, using a lawsuit as a threat to get people to pay an old debt. They often leave voice mails stating that a lawsuit is about to be initiated if you don't return the call right away. Another version of the voice mail mentions that your name was left as an emergency contact on an old loan.
The calls often state that you have defrauded a financial institution or own on an unpaid payday loan and that there is a warrant for your arrest due to an unpaid loan or that you will receive a court summons and/or the authorities are coming to arrest you.
This might be an outright scam or the work of Debt Scavengers trying to collect on "Zombie Debt".
