Red Bull Car Wrap Scam Attempt

I received the following email in my inbox. I am not certain how / where the individual got my email address.

I sent a text message on Dec 12th to (708) 789-9694 expressing interest in the offer. On Dec 14th, I received a text from (708) 310-6513 with the following instructions.

Reply back to this email [email protected], state your interest in the offer for details and information's you need to know about how the car wrap offer works. "Michael Williams"Hiring Manager.

On Dec 21st, I sent an email as instructed for more information and received the following reply. When I read that a check would be sent in advance, I was certain that this was a scam. I googled and found that it was a scam.

Here's the basic premise of the "paid to drive" concept: Red Bull®
Energy Drinks seeks people -- regular citizens, licensed drivers to go
about their normal routine as they usually do, only with a big advert
for "Red Bull® Energy Drinks" plastered on your car. The ads are
typically vinyl decals, also known as "auto wraps,"that almost seem to
be painted on the vehicle, and which will cover any portion of your
car's exterior surface.You need to understand that a car/vehicle wrap
is basically a large vinyl graphic applied directly over a vehicle to
change its appearance and can be removed without causing damage.

This program will last for 3 months and the minimum you can
participate is a month.You will be compensated with $300 per week
which is essentially a "rental"payment for letting our company use the
space and no fee is required from you. Red Bull® Energy Drinks will
provide experts that would handle the advert placing on your car.
Also, you will receive an upfront payment of $300 in form of check via
